Get out those reindeer antlers and Santa suits for the eleventh annual Candy Cane 5K on Saturday, December 9! Register today!
The event is being put on by Boys Town Central Florida, and will begin at Central Winds Park. All proceeds will benefit Boys Town Central Florida. Sponsorships are still available! Contact Tabitha Talbott for more information at tabitha.talbott@boystown.org or 407-588-2175.
The Candy Cane 5K will begin at 8 a.m. and yes, Santa will be there to greet runners as they run, jog or walk across the finish line. Following the 5K will be a free Kids Fun Run. The first 700 finishers will receive a medal and everyone will receive a t-shirt. There will also be awards presented after the race for different categories. Local vendors will be present and food will be available, as well as, of course, hot chocolate.
Registration is only $25 from August 1 to December 3 and is $30 from December 4 to 9. On the day of the race, registration will be $35 and will only be accepted in cash or check. For youth ages 14 and younger and those 60 and older who would like to participate, registration is $20 until December 9. On the day of the race, all pricing will be $35.
