Description
In this course, you will learn about the history, structure, and format of ICD-10-CM. You will see how ICD-10-CM compares to ICD-9-CM. In addition, you will learn how to apply the new coding conventions and guidelines to code assignment. Get up to 25 of your most frequently used ICD-9CM codes converted to ICD-10CM. Access to a Free ICD-9CM GEM Converter Tool.
- Guidance on implementation and compliance timeline
- Learn to crosswalk between the two systems using CMS’ General Equivalence Mapping System
- Documentation requirements and reporting hierarchy for conditions and diagnoses
